SUMMER PRINTMAKING INTENSIVE

Monday Afternoons: 27 April - 13 July (no classes: 4 & 25 May), 2 - 4.45pm

An opportunity to explore the exciting possibilities of printmaking and add new techniques to your creative toolkit. This course will introduce and encourage experimentation with a range of printing methods, including; chine collé, drypoint, frottage, kitchen lithography, monoprinting and Tetra Pak. Suitable for anyone new to printmaking and those wanting to build on their printing knowledge and experience.

What the course is about:

Printmakers have always been resourceful. Whether using bitumen designed for laying roads, linoleum for flooring, or discarded juice cartons, they are always adapting to circumstances and technologies to make art. This course will focus on solvent-free techniques such as, drypoint, monoprint, kitchen litography, amongst others, to explore and expand the intricate and experimental world of printmaking.
